This unexpected oases of calm and beauty is located across Padua and Venice closed to the charming Riviera del Brenta and in the famous area of the hystorical Ville Venete.The villas of the Veneto, rural residences for nobles during the Republic, are one of the most interesting aspects of Venetian countryside. They are surrounded by elegant gardens, suitable for fashionable parties of high society. Most of these villas were designed by Palladio, and are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. According to the architects, water around the villas was a very important architectural element because it added more brilliance to the façade.

TO PRACTISE GOLF IN PADUA: Set in the beautiful landscape of the Euganean Hills, all the golf fields of the Province of Padova are well designed and fully-equipped. All courses are within few kilometers both from Padua and from the famous spas of Abano, Montegrotto and Galzignano Terme.
The Golf Club Padova is the oldest golf course in the Padua area, having been founded in 1962. The course, designed by English architect John Harris, originally offered an 18-hole, par 72 course located at the foot of the Colli Euganei with a total area of 70 hectares and including the seventeenth-century Villa Barbarigo. The course is a veritable botanical garden with 8000 trees and shrubs selected according to landscaping and technical criteria, and the result ais a championship course that winds its way through strategically-placed bodies of water and sand traps.
The Golf Club della Montecchia, one of the few 27-hole courses in the Tri-Veneto area, is nestled within the charming grounds of the old castle beleonging to the Emo Capodilista noble family, just a few kilometers from the city of Padua. The course was designed by English architect Tom Macauley and covers an area of 820,000 square metres. Thanks to the naturally rolling countryside it offers a modern, natural design.
The Golf Club Frassanelle is set in the midst of sumptuous grounds designed in the mid-1800s to bring a touch of English charm to the Venetian countryside. Its wide-open spaces, woodlands and a magnificent lake form the setting of this 18-hole course.
Opened in 1999, the Golf Club Terme di Galzignano is the fourth course located within the enchanting setting of the Euganean Hills. Created by architect Marco Croze, it offers a 1,850 metre-long-hole course and its design includes numerous water traps and lakes positioned to render it a varied , captivating course nestled within the verdant landscape typical of this area.

Padua
Probably better known as the city of St. Anthony or as the economic capital of Veneto, Padua is one of the most important Art Cities in Italy. The classical itinerary includes the visit to the most important monuments of the town, especially those realized between the 13th century and the 15th century, the most extraordinary economic and cultural period, that left an indelible mark on the town: the Medioeval City Walls, the great civil and religious buildings, the foundation of the University (1222), the second in Italy, which attracts masters and students from the whole Europe, the wonderful frescoe-cycles realized by Giotto and his followers, Guariento, Altichiero, Giusto de' Menabuoi, and later the works by Andrea Mantegna and Donatello.
